Purpose of the role

A Junior Budget Project Manager supports the Client Accounting team by assisting in the management of all client financials in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of all client financials ensuring accuracy across all disciplines.
  • Review unbilled media reports and provide commentary to the Finance team for reporting.
  • Ensure timely progression in resolving unbilled / uncleared media to mitigate financial risk across the business.
  • Serve as a liaison between the client's budget management group and the client team(s) to help coordinate projects across the business.
  • Support strong client relationships by developing outputs for reporting deliverables and troubleshooting as needed to meet client expectations.
  • Attend internal and external client-related or departmental meetings related to client financials. Leverage (Hive Finance Workflow) project management tool to enable efficient project management practices.
  • Be capable of performing all Budget Project Coordinator functions and assist where necessary.
  • Oversight and assists in management of client workload for the BPC. Contribute to the training and development of BPC.
  • Reporting & Compliance Assist in review of client financial reporting for the agency (AR/AP).
  • Assist in review of planned vs. ordered monthly; identify and explain variances with the CBL.
  • Maintain (central) filing system for client files. Implement operations policies and best practices across the business.
  • Monitor client teams' billing practices to ensure they are in accordance with client requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of contractual obligations in the delivery of client services. Review and assist with client account mapping and maintenance.
  • Assist with all audit deliverables – SOX, KPMG, Client Audits, Audit Compliance Prepare and update client budgets in TM1.
  • Assist in the preparation of client's budget accruals at year-end.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, with a major in Accounting or Finance preferred Skills Must be a team player, be bright, and a quick learner.

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Intermediate) and knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft suite (Intermediate)
  • Looks beyond the daily tasks at hand and proactively suggests new ideas and ways of working to the benefit of both agency and client
  • Ability to organize themselves and those around them to facilitate the answering of questions and execution of tasks
  • Ability to communicate with many groups of people, including the project team, project sponsor, clients, and any other stakeholders, all while tailoring their communication style to speak clearly and concisely with each group
  • Ability to break down problems into smaller parts in an effort to find solutions
  • Experiences Prior client management experience preferred.
  • Experience with hands-on budget management experience, preferably within the media industry
