The Intermediate Engineer will play a key role in designing, analyzing and implementing projects while collaborating across teams to ensure systems are efficient, cost-effective and compliant with regulations, combining technical expertise with growing project leadership and decision-making responsibilities. Your Mission:

  • Lead and support technical design of solar PV and BESS systems, including energy yield assessments, equipment selection and layout optimization.
  • Perform system studies for interconnection at distribution and transmission levels
  • Collaborate, review and interpret technical studies such as load flow, short circuit and protection coordination
  • Support permitting and regulatory processes including preparation of technical documentation for submissions to utilities, regulators and stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment of project requirements and timelines with internal teams
  • Engage with external consultants, suppliers and contractors

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng)
  • 4-7 years of engineering experience in renewable energy, generation or system planning industries.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in designing utility-scale solar PV and/or battery energy storage projects
  • Ability to travel within Atlantic Canada regularly, and occasionally outside Atlantic Canada
  • Must be bilingual (English/French)
