Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Burnaby, BC V5J 5L4

Duration: 06+ Months (Extendable)

Pay Rate: $34/hr on T4

Description:

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving exceptional product quality for the patient, customer value beyond expectations, regulatory assurance and optimized Cost of Quality

Responsibilities:

o Primary areas of focus will be part/process qualification, issue resolution and quality plan implementation (corrective/preventive action).

o facilitate responding to questions Suppliers have by engaging the correct resource as needed.

o remind Suppliers to return documents as needed via email / Teams, escalating when necessary to meet schedules.

o review documents returned by Supplies for completeness.

o engage correct resources for approving documents as required, escalating when necessary to meet schedules.

o create filing system in SharePoint as repository for documents

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in an engineering or technical discipline

• Knowledge of quality critical aspects in industrial process control and how to verify and validate them through process qualification

• Experience with quality management systems and working in an ISO9001:2015 compliant environment.

• Experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing or engineering; preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint and SharePoint user

• Team player and collaborative

• Able to communicate with all levels of the Supplier Quality organization (Engineers, Managers, Operations), as well as suppliers in all global regions.
