Role Summary

Woodgrove Technologies Inc. has a job opening for a Project Engineer effective immediately. Location is in Toronto with the closest intersection being Sheppard and Allen Road. The successful candidate will preferably be a Mechanical Eng. with 5+ years' experience. The Project engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, working within the Engineering Team.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Generating and managing project deliverables (Equipment Data Sheets, Calculations, Equipment Lists, drawings, etc.).
  • Sizing of equipment such as instruments, valves, piping, etc.
  • Generating equipment requests for sizing and communicating with vendors.
  • Working with the CAD team to produce top quality PFDs, PIDs, GADs, Outline and Fabrication drawings.
  • Drawing and document review.
  • Engineering Calculations.
  • Communicating and engaging with Engineering companies and clients on project work.
  • Review and understanding of client and regional specifications, codes, standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as API 650/620, AWWA, ANSI, ASTM, etc. is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the typical project workflow and experience in working with / for EPCs is preferred.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mechanical discipline is preferred, but others will be considered.)
  • Experience: 5+ Years of experience in Mechanical Eng.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Fluid Mechanics and it's application to piping and pressure loss calculations.
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
  • Candidates must be proficient in written and verbal communication in the English language.
  • Strong work ethic, discipline and attention to detail are required for this position.
