$71.50 - $78 / hour | 6 hours per week | Contractor Position

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team providing neuro-rehabilitation to clients recovering from brain injury. This position offers a flexible 6-hour weekly schedule and takes place at a facility-based program supporting 9 residents. The role is ideal for someone passionate about collaborative care, neuro-rehab, and client-centered treatment in a small residential environment.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

• Location: Transitional Care Home, Burnaby (Hastings House)
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Hours: 6 hours per week with flexibility
• Rate: $71.50 - $78 per hour
• Type: Independent contractor
• Setting: Neuro-rehab with a multidisciplinary team, working directly with clients with acquired brain injury in a home-like environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments for clients with acquired brain injury
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including case managers, physiotherapy, kinesiology, behavioral consultants, rehabilitation assistants.
• Reassess client progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Support clients in developing skills for increased independence and transitioning to community living
• Maintain clinical documentation and communicate progress with team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Experience working in neuro-rehabilitation or with brain injury populations preferred
• Wheelchair seating experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable transportation to the worksite
