Mechanical Engineer – Automated Packaging Solutions

One of our clients, a recognized leader in Automated Factory Solutions for the packaging industry, is looking for skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their fast-growing, dynamic team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a company driving innovation in industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automation and packaging equipment, including integration of pneumatics, servo drives, and conveyor systems
• Create and release detailed drawing packages and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Develop 3D models and layout drawings for customer presentations and internal reviews
• Oversee mechanical part fabrication and final assembly processes
• Lead engineering efforts from concept through delivery, ensuring design integrity and system functionality
• Collaborate directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
• Attend site meetings across North America as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in automation or packaging machinery
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering calculations
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
• Effective team player with excellent communication and organizational skills

Location: Burlington/Oakville Canada
