We are currently partnering with a well-established general contracting firm in search of a Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of high-value construction projects across commercial and industrial sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to complex builds and oversee projects from pre-construction through to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Plan, budget, and manage all phases of assigned construction projects.
  • Analyze project contracts and specifications to define scope, safety requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive execution plans, including staffing, procurement, subcontractor management, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, manage documentation, and ensure all parties are informed of progress and expectations.

Financial & Risk Oversight

  • Validate cost estimates and ensure alignment with project budgets.
  • Oversee financial aspects including proposals, change orders, and progress billing.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.

Site Coordination & Issue Resolution

  • Oversee on-site operations to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues impacting construction progress.
  • Optimize use of materials, resources, and time for project efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or coordination within the commercial/industrial construction sector.
  • Strong command of cost control, procurement, contract negotiation, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent organizational abilities.
