Forge Recruitment is proud to partner with a mid-sized law firm specializing in estates, trusts and family law, in their search for a Family Law Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal to join their downtown Vancouver office.
About the Role
- Draft and revise legal documents, including pleadings, separation agreements, parenting plans, and court forms.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Organize case files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare and organize estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, and trusts.
- Assist with probate applications and estate administration, including liaising with beneficiaries and financial institutions.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and client inquiries with a professional and compassionate approach.
- Maintain lawyer calendars and coordinate meetings.
This firm offers competitive compensation ranging between $60,000 - $80,000 and extended benefits, and flexible working hours. The firm also prides itself on operating in a collegial and supportive manner, as everyone works as a dynamic team in collaboration with one another.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in Family law and Wills and Estates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation and court procedures.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with BC court systems and legal software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
