Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding:
- Support full-cycle recruitment: job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer letters.
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs and improve the hiring experience.
- Maintain and update employee records in ADP Workforce Now.
- Assist in reporting, audits, and employee data integrity.
- Coordinate payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, wage adjustments and promotions.
Benefits & Leaves Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments and updates.
- Track and process leaves of absence in line with company policies.
- Serve as a first point of contact for benefits and time-off inquiries.
- Assist with organizing employee events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Help implement employee surveys and follow up on action items.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, safety, and respect.
- Maintain accurate and complete employee files in both digital and physical formats.
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with employment standards.
- Assist in policy updates and delivery of internal training.
- Respond to general HR inquiries and escalate when needed.
- Provide administrative support to the People & Culture team.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, ideally in a hybrid or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of BC and federal employment legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong interpersonal skills and high level of confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Fast-paced and collaborative team environment supporting both office and plant employees.
- May occasionally require extended hours to meet project deadlines or during peak periods.
- This is primarily an office-based role. Must be able to sit, type, and use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Occasional lifting of files or office supplies (up to 15 lbs) may be required.
- Occasional visits to plant floor for employee check-ins or events.
- Standard workweek is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (some flexibility available).
