We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our operations department across North America and help scale our freight forwarding services.

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily logistics and freight forwarding activities across air, ocean, and ground transport. You'll ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and the effective management of a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Major Project/Sporting Event Project Planning, Execution and Management
• Evaluates risk to projects/events and plans appropriate mitigation
• Manages budgets and performs resource allocation
• Oversee and optimize day-to-day freight forwarding operations (import/export – air, ocean, and land).
• Manage and mentor a team of coordinators, agents, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping.
• Resolve escalated client issues with a focus on service recovery and customer retention.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to align operational support with client expectations.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Post Secondary degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of customs documentation, and global shipping practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in freight forwarding softwares and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
