Facilities Technician Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Facilities Technician to join our team in our Powell River Community. The role is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity, cleanliness, and appearance of our properties to the highest of standards. The ideal candidate has experience in residential or commercial maintenance, proactive attitude, and commitment to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Complete tenant service requests and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in preparing apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and general repairs.
- Conduct regular inspection of common areas, amenities and grounds to ensure a pristine, well-maintained environment.
- Groundskeeping, and maintaining a clean building.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and inspection
- Respond to after hours emergencies as part of an on call rotation.
- Collaborate with property manager and other team members to maintain a luxury level experience for our residents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting
- Working knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Capability to work as a team and independently.
