Position Summary
As an AZ-licensed driver, your primary role is operating power vacs and specialized trucks for waste management. You are responsible for cross-border operations, including long-hauls. A key part of your role is to work collaboratively with your team.


Responsibilities
Operate trucks (mainly automatic) for hauling waste for environmental services.
Conduct daily vehicle circle checks and receive paperwork before beginning runs.
Drive across Ontario, with occasional cross-border travel to the U.S to Detroit on a regular basis.
Flexibility for occasional overnight shifts (up to 3 nights/year) based on client needs.
Perform shop duties on rainy days, including cleaning trucks or other operational support tasks to maintain full-time hours.
Maintain excellent customer service standards, using sound judgment when adapting to job site conditions (e.g., determining appropriate gravel use).
Ensure safe delivery practices and compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., avoiding spills).
Collaborate with team members to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Qualifications & Specifications
Valid AZ license with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR.
Experience with vacuum trucks is preferred.
Waste management experience is considered an asset.
Willingness to undergo cross-border drug testing.
Must be customer-service oriented and capable of making real-time judgment calls on-site.
Comfortable working independently and communicating with clients on job details and changes.
Cross-border and inter-provincial travel readiness (including valid passport or eligibility).


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Typical shift runs from 6:30 AM 5:00 PM; off-season hours may shift to 7:00 AM 4:00 PM.
Minimum 40 hours per week, with guaranteed shop work on weather-impacted days.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
