Job Responsibilities:
This position is for Massiv Die-Form, a division of Cosma International.
Cosma International, an operating unit of Magna International, is one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers providing a comprehensive range of body, chassis, and engineering solutions to our customers. Massiv Die-Form, a division of Magna International, designs and builds medium to large cast automotive and hot stamping dies. Massiv Die-Form is proudly committed to manufacture products of the highest quality, reliability, maintainability and durability for the global automotive market through skilled and dedicated people focused on total customer satisfaction, ongoing protection of the environment and the profitable well-being of our company.
SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in quality assurance within automotive manufacturing, with 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MAFACT, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, GD&T, CMM, DataMyte, Turbo SPC, Quantum SPC.
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), quality software (e.g., Minitab), and QMS/QAS systems.
  • Training: Familiar with Lockout/Tagout, WHMIS, 5S, CI, AODA, First Aid, EAP, and other safety and leadership programs.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership: Experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Decision-making: Able to make sound decisions under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Team Management: Lead and manage quality assurance team and equipment
  • Quality Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality systems (MAFACT, APQP, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Staff Planning: Allocate and schedule quality manpower to meet manufacturing needs, including overtime when required.
  • Performance Tracking: Maintain records on employee performance, training, capabilities, and behavior.
  • Customer Liaison: Support customer concerns, quality issues, engineering changes
  • KPI Monitoring: Track department KPIs and drive corrective actions to meet business plan targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause analysis.
  • Training: Ensure staff are trained on new procedures and QMS/QAS requirements.
  • Inspection Oversight: Ensure inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and operational.
  • Documentation: Review and submit accurate quality documentation to Engineering, Operations and Program Management teams.
  • Budgeting: Adhere to project and departmental labour and overhead budgets.
  • Disciplinary Action: Enforce plant rules and ensure fair application of policies and procedures.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to and enforce all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Other duties are required

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Office & Shop Floor environment.
  • Day shift with overtime as required.
