Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking full-time permanent Dispatchers to join its vibrant team. Successful candidates will reflect Ray-Monts core values: Quality, Flexibility, Performance, Commitment, Attitude and Innovation.
Work schedule: 12-hour shifts (3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off). Night Shift. From 5:30 pm - 5:30 am.Weekend availability as needed.
Pay: $30.75 - $33.25 per hour
Work Environment: In-Person.In office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilize dispatching software to schedule, track, and manage the movement of goods, containers, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation.
- Use data analytics tools to analyze logistics performance, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimized routing and scheduling solutions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, vendors, and operations teams, providing real-time updates and resolving any scheduling or logistical issues.
- Document and monitor shipment schedules, delivery statuses, and any deviations, ensuring all data is updated in the system for reporting and compliance.
- Other Duties as Assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of dispatching truck activities.
- 2 years of experience in transportation (asset).
- A college or university degree (asset).
- Advanced verbal and written skills in English. With strong active listening skills.
- Comfortable with computer systems such as Microsoft Office & Advanced typing skills.
- Physically in shape:occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move heavy bags (50 pounds).
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
- Ability to follow directions and procedures while working independently with flexible work habits, a positive attitude, and adaptability.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Must have good organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, time constraints, and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn, good attitude & detail oriented.
- Offer outstanding customer service.
