POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Human Resources Administrative Assistant who will report to the Human Resources Manager. The
Human Resources Administrative Assistantwill be responsible for providing HR administrative support to the HR Department. You will assist in administrating the HRIS for record keeping, applying policies and procedures and other areas as directed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for managing the HRIS system to ensure effective recording, maintaining, and reporting of human resource information, updating employee files, status changes, address changes, training, and disciplinary records, etc
  • Completes seasonal employee offboarding
  • Administer benefit plan program support
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of guidelines, standard operating policies, procedures, and manuals as required
  • Administer employee engagement projects and activities
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
  • Performs other HR duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND DESIRED TRAITS

  • Experience using an HRIS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Applications
  • Excellent English writing and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of HR process best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Self-motivated, organization and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a minimum of supervision to manage, organize and prioritize work to adhere to project deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of staff and, the public

EDUCATION

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration is an asset

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources is an asset
