About the Opportunity
This newly created leadership role reports directly to the firm's Executive Committee. The Director will lead the strategic and operational delivery of HR services and programs across the firm, with a strong emphasis on talent development and engagement. This includes evolving the firm's approaches to performance management, learning and development, policy and compliance, internal communications, and Associate recruitment and development.
The opportunity is well-suited to an experienced HR Manager or Senior Manager who is ready to take on broader accountability and play a visible leadership role within the firm.
In this role, you will:
- Promote a positive and respectful employee experience by supporting proactive employee relations and reinforcing firm values;
- Lead the design and implementation of talent development programs, including coaching, performance management, training, and leadership effectiveness;
- Manage HR policy development and compliance, group benefits administration, and HR systems to ensure rigour and operational effectiveness;
- Design and deliver employee communication strategies and internal events that build connection, inclusion, and firm culture;
- Oversee the full lifecycle of Associate and Student recruitment, onboarding, and development, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience;
- Advise the Executive Committee on people-related strategy, organizational effectiveness, and firmwide initiatives.
You are the right candidate for this role if you:
- Have 7 to 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR manager-level role, preferably within a professional services, partner-based environment;
- Have a track record in designing and implementing new talent development programs and/or helping a growing organization to evolve its HR practices;
- Bring strong expertise in coaching, talent development, and leadership enablement;
- Are comfortable advising senior leadership and navigating a high-performance, professional environment;
- Understand relevant employment legislation and apply sound judgment in HR policy and compliance matters;
- Communicate clearly and professionally, with experience delivering internal communication strategies and employee-facing content;
- Are proactive, collaborative, and committed to building programs that reflect culture and support business priorities.
