Nova Paving (Sask) Ltd. is a well-established heavy civil construction company based in Regina, Saskatchewan. We are looking for a hard-working, reliable individual for the role of a Float Truck Driver. Reporting to Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for transporting construction equipment and materials to and from job sites in a safe manner. The position runs annually from April to December, and we are hiring now for an immediate opening.

Requirements:

• Valid class 1 drivers license.
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Comfortable maneuvering heavy equipment for loading and unloading.
• Capable of properly securing loads for transportation.
• Ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner in all weather conditions.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check equipment before operating to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency components are in good working order.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulation, and compliance.
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or accident/injuries immediately to the supervisor.
• Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as required.
• Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
• Maneuver into loading and unloading positions. Check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
• Operate equipment such as mobile radios and telephones to exchange necessary information to supervisors or other operators.
• Ensure that any debris caused by loading/unloading of equipment is cleaned up.
