About the Role
We're seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling complex logistics challenges. As the key liaison for assigned clients, you'll play an essential role in managing their transportation needs from end to end.
Responsibilities
As an Account Manager, you'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations across your customer portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and committed to customer success.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Quoting & Pricing: Deliver accurate, market-competitive shipment pricing tailored to customer needs.
- Shipment Monitoring: Track and manage shipments while ensuring timely updates and proactive communication.
- Carrier Coordination: Assign and manage shipments with third-party carriers, maintaining accuracy and service standards.
- Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact—address inquiries, resolve issues, and nurture long-term relationships.
- Problem Solving: Handle real-time issues in a fast-moving logistics environment with confidence and agility.
- Data Accuracy: Use technology tools to ensure high data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with customers and team members through clear communication and shared goals.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics/ transportation- preferably in produce or reefer shipments.
- Strong attention to detail with a knack for spotting issues early.
- Excellent time management skills in a high-volume, time-sensitive setting.
- Confident verbal and written communication abilities.
- A customer-first mindset and dedication to service excellence.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach.
- The ability to work independently and stay self-motivated.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word)
