Fife House is an innovative, client-focused provider of secure and supportive affordable housing and services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Toronto Area. With approximately 110 staff working across 6 locations, in 2020-2021, Fife House served more than 850 residents and clients by providing supportive and transitional housing programs and outreach programs to homeless clients and their families. Fife is seeking a dedicated individual to fill a full-time position of Housing Stabilization Lead as a part of our Addiction Supportive Housing Program. The Addiction Supportive Housing Program is a partnership between Fife House and McEwan House. This position works closely with tenants, McEwan House Case Managers and landlords to ensure that residents are supported and being responsible tenants while managing associations with the landlords in an appropriate manner The Main duties of the Housing Stabilization Lead are the following: Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative and Building supports * Ensure all tenant files are maintained with accurate and relevant documents such as leases, occupancy agreements * Ensure that all income reviews are completed * Act as landlord to both tenants and occupants * Sign all new Occupancy agreements * Liaison with building owners to resolve issues pertaining to occupants * Ensure all rent and revenues are collected in a timely manner * Ensure rent payments to property owners are completed in a timely manner * Ensure units repairs are completed * Ensure that bi-monthly unit inspection is completed Client supports: * Act as a point of contact for tenants * Support tenants in coordinating and preparing housing units for pest control and maintenance request * Assist with tenants'activities of daily living as it relates to housing stability * Attends housing supports and care coordination meetings with both tenants and Mcewan House Case Managers * Document client-related and care coordination activities in online case management system in an accurate and timely manner * Will be required to enter tenants' units Qualifications and skills: * A post-secondary diploma in social services (i.e.SSW, BSW) or equivalent with relevant experience in the housing and homeless sector * Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and related health comorbidities, addictions and mental health issues * Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act * Knowledge of property management * Ability to work with tenants who have addictions and/or mental health issues * Demonstrated experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Working knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office 365 as well as other web-based programs
