Position Summary:
ErinoakKids is currently seeking an experienced individual with a strong
accounting background to fill the position of Client Financial Services Clerk.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of
the processing and maintenance of client accounts for MCCSS funded Special Services
at Home (SSAH) and Enhanced Respite programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire appropriate documents from family and eligibility confirmation from MCCSS for the SSAH funding program;
- Administer multi million dollar approved SSAH and Enhanced Respite direct client funding;
- Reconcile accounts on a monthly, quarterly and year end basis to ensure accurate disbursement and tracking of funds;
- Track and record SSAH funds applied for ErinoakKids eligible expenses;
- Process and reconcile well over 700 client accounts and process submitted invoices monthly;
- Prepare SSAH quarterly reports for submission to MCCSS;
- Provide timely correspondence to clients regarding SSAH balances;
- Develop on-going monitoring protocols related to SSAH in order to provide communication to MCCSS;
- Contribute to the development, management and distribution of materials for families in receipt of SSAH funds;
- Respond to queries from families regarding SSAH funding;
- Liaise with Service Navigators and Clinicians to ensure SSAH clients have knowledge of available community services;
- Provide general support to Accounts Payable, processing expense claims as they are submitted;
- Provide support and coverage for Accounts Payable.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in an administrative role;
- Post secondary education in business administration or a related field;
- 2-3 years of experience in an accounting environment required;
Proficient in a variety of software applications including knowledge of database software processes (Meditech is a strong asset); - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to deal effectively with staff, clients, volunteers and others within the community;
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a sensitive and confidential manner;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
