About the Role:
As a Senior Automation and Control Systems Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of sustainable automation projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage capital projects while contributing to system optimization and supporting operational and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain PLC and DCS systems, including Allen Bradley Control Logix, PLC5, and Foxboro.
- Develop automation strategies and implement control philosophies tailored to industrial needs.
- Configure intuitive operator interfaces (HMIs) and ensure seamless system usability.
- Optimize network protocols (e.g., DeviceNet, HART, TCP/IP) for enhanced performance.
- Translate technical diagrams (PFDs, P&IDs) into actionable system documents and control narratives.
- Interpret complex electrical and instrumentation schematics.
- Manage and execute capital projects, including feasibility studies, scope development, and engineering design.
- Troubleshoot, upgrade, and enhance automation systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Control, or Chemical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Proven expertise in industrial automation projects.
- Demonstrated experience in capital project management, systems troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Strong technical background with a focus on sustainable solutions.
