Job Description

ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a current DND contract in Trenton, Ontario. We will need for you to be on-site, so looking for candidates local if possible!

You will provide advice on various options that simulation can be used in support of research, testing and operational training for Royal Canadian Air Force clients. It requires excellent communications skills in both oral and written formats and with strong presentation skills.

  • Experience with simulation software development is desired but not essential.
  • Software languages include Java, C++, scripting in various other languages such as Python.
Qualifications
  • A former Canadian Armed Forces member is required. This role is part of an existing National Defence contract that ADGA holds currently. Current contract until September 2025 - with strong possibility of extension.
  • We are also looking for candidates that have:
    • A Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, or Engineering, with Modeling and Simulation courses
    • Minimum 7 years designing, coding, and testing C++ and Java programming
    • Minimum 6 years working in a Microsoft, and Unix or Linux operating system environment
    • A strong knowledge of simulation and modelling systems and how these systems interact
    • Experience working with: Python, scripting languages, Git repository, and GitLab
    • Copies of Degree/Diploma/Certifications will be required
  • Must be eligible to apply and obtain a PSPC Security clearance at the Secret level.

The following skills and qualifications are considered a strong asset:

  • CMSP (Certified Modelling and Simulation Professional) Certificate or an equivalent industry-recognized qualification
  • Experience programming in a modeling and simulation environment
  • Experience developing simulation systems
  • Experience working with Image Generation and display systems
