- Engage with staff at all levels through safety discussions and training.
- Participate in compliance and competency inspections.
- Maintain safety standards with minimal disruption to site operations.
- Assist with monitoring Safety KPIs to help achieve business objectives.
- Assist with maintaining records of monthly safety meetings, inspections, and training.
- Help create safety training materials and safe work procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, make recommendations, and take action to eliminate or reduce risks and increase safety awareness.
- Support compliance with all applicable WorkSafe BC, Alberta OHS, and other safety agencies as required.
- TDG competency is considered an asset.
- Lead by example.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- Highly motivated individual with a passion for safety excellence.
- You are able to travel, including overnight stays.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to lead and influence others.
- You have strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Can exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Adaptable to changing demands.
- You are able to work both as part of a team and independently.
- You have an understanding of, or a strong desire to learn and apply, Federal, provincial, and other regulatory safety requirements.
