Worksite Safetyis expanding its instructor-led training team to meet an increasing demand for construction, oil & gas, andmanufacturingsafety education. If you are a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor who is passionate about keeping workers safe, then this role is for you!

This part-time hourly-based position will be delivering the Fall Protection course at our Edmonton Training Centre, as well as other courses potentially including Confined Space Entry and First Aid/CPR courses. The role reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and working hours will be Saturdays (8am-4pm), some Sundays and the occasional weekday, if available.

As a Health & Safety Instructor your key responsibilities are:

  • Delivering engaging and informative Fall Protection training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
  • Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
  • Potentially delivering other courses such as Confined Space Entry and First Aid/CPR Training.
  • Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
  • Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops

The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years experience delivering safety training
  • Training experience in Fall Protection, ESC-certified courses and/or Red Cross First Aid considered an asset
  • Background in construction, oil and gas management and/or occupational health & safety preferred
  • Confined Space Entry and Rescue experience considered an asset
  • Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
  • Responsible self-starter who can work independently, while also contributing to the instructor team
  • Valid Alberta Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
  • Reside and able to legally work in Canada
