We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Consultant, fluent in Spanish and/or French, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will apply your medical knowledge and insurance expertise to assess travel, VIP, expatriates and long-term disability claims. You will also develop care plans aimed at mitigating health risks and minimizing financial losses.
Job Description
As a Medical Consultant, you will play a key role in guiding and overseeing the medical aspects of our insurance-related products and services. You will ensure that all assessments and recommendations are medically sound, evidence-based, and aligned with industry standards. This role requires excellent analytical skills, sound clinical judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Review and assess medical reports, clinical protocols, and other supporting medical documentation.
- Evaluate the medical necessity and appropriateness of services provided to our members.
- Collaborate with internal departments, to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services to our members while cost containment is applied.
- Stay informed about developments and changes in the medical and insurance industries.
- Manage corporate client expectations related to Insurance Medicine
- Recommend solutions in regard to patient medical repatriation including commercial transfers and air-ambulance transfers
- Align with company values, vision and mission.
Requirement:
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited Medical School
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- In-dept knowledge of the US healthcare system.
- Strong understanding of Clinical best practices
- Knowledge of Aerospace medicine and patient transfer protocols
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret medical data to support decision-making.
- Ability to analyze and interpret medical data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
