Pipeline Integrity Operations Manager - Edmonton

Apave Canada has an immediate, full-time position available for a Pipeline Integrity Operations Manager. We are looking for an individual who has prior expertise in management and performing pipeline integrity inspections. This position would be based out of our Edmonton office (5311 86 Street NW, Edmonton, T6E 5T8), with travel throughout Alberta required.

Apave Canada has been serving the oil and gas, petroleum and petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pipeline and potash industries since 1953.

Our Canadian operations currently provide services from Edmonton, Calgary, Cold Lake, Fort McMurray, Lloydminster, Nisku, and Red Deer. Our USA operations provide services from 23 office locations, our United Kingdom operations provide services from 7 office locations, and our Australian operations provide services from 5 locations.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and manage pipeline integrity operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of pipeline integrity specialists, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand our client base and service offerings.
  • Coordinate and schedule pipeline integrity projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to pipeline integrity operation
  • Ensure all pipeline integrity activities are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pipeline integrity industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams.
  • Strong business development skills, with experience in client acquisition and relationship management.
  • Proficiency in various pipeline integrity methods and techniques, including PAUT, TOFD, MT, Laser Scanning and Eddy Current.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.

Safety Requirements:

  • Steel-toe boots are required; Apave will provide additional PPE.
