Job Description:

This position report to the Manger, OT Systems & Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Review proposed Cybersecurity controls relevant to the OT domain and its applicability.
  • Support and perform integration testing for new cybersecurity controls with various security systems.
  • Ensure OT adherence to ARS CIP and non-CIP standards, ISO27001/27019 standards.
  • Review and evaluate technical change requests for security and compliance related risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance measures into day-to-day business process.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain security and compliance processes and operational procedures.
  • Conduct gap assessments to identify potential compliance risks with existing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement such as automation.
  • Provide training on compliance requirements, processes and best practices.
  • Work with business units to investigate suspected contravention, completion of self-report and support mitigation efforts to reduce the likelihood of re-occurrence.
  • Work directly with legal to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of our compliance management system.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preference for electrical or systems engineer;
  • Professional Engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), or qualifies for registration with APEGA.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in utility experience.
  • Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively with SMEs from other transmission disciplines including P&C, Scada, Lines and Telecom.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools, maintenance databases and expert systems with working knowledge of the following, or similar, considered as asset: OSI PI historian, Doble, TOA, breaker timing tests
  • Excellent analytical, risk assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, CSA, and ANSI.
  • Knowledge of compliance framework including CIP standards, ISO27001/27019, Critical Security Controls.
  • Strong writing, reporting and oral presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Able to positively influence others.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive outcomes.
  • Proven track record of good attendance.
