In this role, you will manage the organization's financial records, ensure accurate payroll processing, and oversee the administration of employee benefits. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of Sanctuary's financial operations, working closely with the Executive Director and other members of the administrative support team. ------------------------------- Key Responsibilities Your main responsibility will include, but not be limited to: Bookkeeping: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries using Quickbooks. * Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders as required. * Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies. * Reconciling Quickbooks with Salesforce, including review of donation entries into Salesforce. * Collaborate with the Executive Director on financial planning and reporting. * Filing records relevant for administration Payroll Administration: * Process payroll for staff using Nethris Payroll systems. * Manage payroll taxes and other related deductions. * Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly. Benefits Administration: * Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. * Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related queries and ensure accurate record-keeping. * Collaborate with benefit providers to address issues and ensure timely updates. ------------------------------- Qualifications * Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and benefits administration. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in with registered charities * Technical Skills: High proficiency with QuickBooks. Ability to use Nethris Payroll Systems and Salesforce experience is highly desirable, but not required. * Education: A recognized bookkeeping certification is sufficient. Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. * Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. ------------------------------- What We Offer * A supportive and mission-driven work environment. * Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
