Senior Machine Designer / Engineer

Core efforts

-Analyzing.

-Concepting and designing production machinery and solutions.

-Involvement the concepting phase to assist sales for solutions applications.

Machines - Small special purpose assembly machines to large converting machines.

- Knowledge of a full range of motion methods (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)

- Design for Manufacture / Maintenance understanding.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' experience in machine design of converting equipment or packaging machines, and have a few machines to your design credit

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with Software expertise

• Ability to conceive designs for their movement, translation and processing of paper products and all types of packaged goods.

• Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, pressure, force as related to machine designs

• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine shape, dimensions, hardness in the development of equipment, processes, and products

• Proficiency using Motion Analyzer software is an asset.

• Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 25% of the time

• Self-motivated and disciplined to time commitments while working on multiple projects

• Knowledge of estimating is an asset

• Located within 45 minutes of our office (Brantford) is preferred
