The Gracie Barra Northwest Calgary classes are aligned with the Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program structure developed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to meet the specific learning needs of people from different ages, genders and levels.

Job description

As a Jiu-Jitsu Instructor at Grace Barra Northwest Calgary, your main duties and responsibilities are:

• Teach and motivate students.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of each student and develop their potential skills and abilities.
• Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions.
• Advise on all matters related to the practice of Jiu-Jitsu, including its techniques.
• Develop all activities without interfering with any orientation of the GB System.
• Plan competitive events.
• Motivate and prepare students for competitive events or games.
• Effectively participate in all activities (meetings, trainings, etc.) of the Training Center.
• Provide practical and emotional support to the team during classes and competition events.

Must Haves

• Brown or Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
• CPR/First Aid
• Good references
• Able to teach kids and adults
• Gracie Barra Instructor Certification (we will provide)

Pay: $20.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
