Our client in the CPG industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join them on a 6-month assignment. The role will be working 3 days onsite at their offices in Mississauga.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows:

• Carries out daily accounting transactions for projects (intercompany transactions, bill payments, bank entries and monthly accruals).
• Prepares and manages variance analysis and communicates results on a monthly basis.
• Prepares quarterly reconciliations and financial statements and supports annual external audit.
• Prepares and coordinates management reporting with various stakeholders across the organization.
• Assists in the preparation of tax returns and other related filings.
• Implements best practice initiatives and ensures that all deadlines are met.

TMGCT

• College diploma/University degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) strongly preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• 5+ years of related accounting experience.
