Our client is a boutique provider of community based Diagnostic Imaging services in Calgary and Airdrie. We currently provide X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Mineral Densitometry, Pain Management Injections including Fluoroscopy (Airdrie & Macleod location only) and Ultrasound Guided injections, and Biopsies.

We work with over fourteen Radiologists to provide a range of sub-specialties including: General Imaging, MSK, Intervention, Breast Imaging, Specialty Pediatrics and more.

The Opportunity

Position: Medical Radiation Technologist

Location: Various clinic locations in Calgary and Airdrie

Employment Type: Casual, Part-time, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Schedule: Monday through Saturday shifts available

Position Overview & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the MRT Manager, the Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) is responsible for delivering exceptional care to all of our patients in a respectful, compassionate, and welcoming environment. As an MRT you will independently perform and communicate the results of diagnostic examinations to the Radiologists. A successful candidate always maintains the highest level of medical ethics and is driven to continually improve their level of understanding and knowledge in this field.

Qualifications & Skills:

The following requirements must be met by an applicant to be considered for the position:

Graduate of a recognized formal Medical Radiation Technologist program

Ability to perform a wide range of radiographic exams with excellent attention to detail

Active certification and member in good standing with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)

Active certification and good standing with ACMDTT

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Exceptional problem solving and communication skills

Competency with Windows-based computer programs

Recent Mammography experience considered an asset

Assisting in Pain management injections using C-arm experience or willingness to learn

Must enjoy working with children and be able to demonstrate pediatric experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience working in a team environment as well as independently

Able to demonstrate critical thinking skills

Good time management and multitasking skills

This position requires candidates to:

· Must have reliable transportation to various locations within Calgary and Airdrie area.

Be available for Saturday shifts, and weekdays as required based on operational and business requirements.
