About the Role:
JSC is seeking a creative, persuasive and detail-oriented marketing professional and graphic designer to elevate our brand, marketing and communications materials, and develop a wide range of product marketing and client-facing collateral.
The Marketing Specialist will focus on creating foundational standards for marketing, developing visual storytelling and supporting brand alignment through design. This role will play a big role in strengthening the company's brand identity and improving sales and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistency of all visual content on communication channels to align with JSC's brand guidelines. Provide brand guidance to business units regarding visual aesthetics for sales decks, corporate website, campaigns, projects, and event & promotional materials.
- Conceptualize and develop digital and social facing content to fuel brand engagement.
- Execute design to facilitate positive employee and client experiences, cross functional project team and business unit collaboration.
- Design and create company swag, signage and external collateral.
- Create and update graphics for internal communications channels on SharePoint, digital screens, email and newsletters.
- Develop and support design of trade show booths for conferences and events. Coordinate trade show collateral and assist with event logistics.
- Create and update content for web and social media: editing, publishing, and laying out images to build brand awareness on external platforms.
- Produce and edit professional high-quality photo and video content for web, social media, special events, and marketing purposes.
- Maintain and organize digital media files and library for easy access and retrieval.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Graphic Design, Media Production, or related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience at a marketing agency or as an in-house designer.
- Intermediate project and time management skills are required to work on multiple projects simultaneously, follow timelines, and ensure deliverables fit with timelines of others. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined abilities in design and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Illustrator), web content management systems (e.g Word Press, Magnolia or InDesign).
- Refined equipment operation skills are required to operate photographic cameras, video gear, support systems and various accessories.
- Excellent writing, editing, and PowerPoint skills.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid role (one day per week in office) based in Burlington, Ontario.
- When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required. Remote work is supported with several cloud-based applications and collaboration tools.
- May require occasional travel to other company sites or events.
- Occasional work outside standard hours for event coverage or deadlines.
