The Precision Well Servicing Information Technology team provides IT solutions for our employees across multiple office and remote field locations. The Business Systems Developer will translate client requirements into functional software features, ensuring timely delivery of working applications.

*Our staff have mobilized back to the office; candidates will need to be available to work in our office full-time.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze software specifications and translate them into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects to application issues
• Provide consultation on the capabilities of application technology to identify opportunities to solve business issues
• Support the software development life cycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in software development
• Keep clients informed on the status of issues
• Interact with end user, peers, help desk, and management personnel to resolve issues

What You'll Bring:

• 1 - 3 years of development experience or a strong academic/project background in software development
• A diploma in Computer Programming or a related computer science discipline certification is required
• Ability to work and collaborate within a highly technical motivated team
• An eagerness to learn and apply new technologies
• Strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances as well as clarify information or instructions relevant to their job
• Ability to stay focused, methodical thinker and possesses a high attention to detail

• Experience in all aspects of software development lifecycle following best practice methodologies
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python and JavaScript

• Knowledge of web programming fundamentals, http basics, HTML and CSS
• Understanding of database management systems
• Microsoft and other industry certifications
• Functional/technical documentation writing experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform technologies (including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Query, Power Pivot) is preferential
• Advanced Excel skills (2 plus years of experience specific to advanced formulas, pivot tables, beginner/intermediate VBA development/macros) is preferential
• Previous experiencing working in the Oil & Gas industry or with field and/or mobile technologies would be an asset
