Job Title: Estate Administration Paralegal

Salary Range: $80,000$100,000
Department: Wills & Estates - position is on-site for first year, then can move to a hybrid model (1 day/week from home) after that.
Overview:
A full-service, results-based British Columbia law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estate Administration Paralegal to join its Wills & Estates department. The firm serves a diverse range of businesses, individuals, and institutional clients, emphasizing a client-first approach built on trust, results, and personalized service. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare probate and estate administration application materials.
Supervise estate administration processes and procedures.
Liaise with financial institutions and other entities to obtain estate asset information.
Act as the main point of contact with the probate registry, Public Guardian and Trustees office, and other relevant government agencies.
Conduct and report on title, wills notice, and other legal searches.
Assist in the development and maintenance of estate administration precedents.
Support executors and administrators with asset transmission, transfer, and the preparation of estate accounts.
Publish creditor notices and manage related tasks.
Participate in client meetings, conduct communications via phone and email, and assist with document execution.
Provide general administrative support to the department as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in estate administration.
Completion of a certificate or diploma from an accredited Paralegal program.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, Supreme Court Rules, and probate registry practices.
Proven experience working directly with the probate registry and Public Guardian and Trustees office.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel with strong document production skills.
Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Team-oriented with the capacity to work independently when required.
