Senior UI Developer
Location: REMOTE or Edmonton, AB if hybrid preferred. Elegible to work in Canada without sponsorship and live and work in Canada.

We seek a highly dedicated, motivated, and passionate Senior UI Developer who can use the right tools to find the best solutions to problems. As a Senior UI Developer, you will be a leading engineer in a cross-discipline DevOps team. You will act as an authority on front-end development in your team, driving the UI development while collaborating with other teams that will be building this experience.

• Salary Range: Competitive, dependent on skills, experience, and local market ranges. (120-140K base)

• Work closely with Product Owners, UI/UX designers, and back-end engineers to design and build beautiful, snappy, and user-friendly UIs.

• Actively coordinate work with other teams.

• Share ownership and collaborate closely with fellow developers in an autonomous, cross-functional full-stack team.

• Coach and mentor team members to grow as developers through code reviews, pairing, and guidance.

• Participate in the design and implementation of joint JavaScript infrastructure and resources for all UI development.

• Research and evaluate new tools and frameworks to improve UI infrastructure.

• Actively participate in architectural decisions.

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related area.

• Experience: 6+ years of combined, relevant experience.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

  • Strong expertise in React or Vue.js, including state management, component libraries, and advanced framework features.

  • Experience with RESTful API integration.

  • Hands-on experience with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks.

  • Experience with front-end build tools like package managers and bundlers.

  • Strong understanding of testing best practices and tools.

  • Version control experience.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser/platform compatibility.

• Experience with client-side and server-side rendering.

• Familiarity with GraphQL and application monitoring.

• DevOps experience (AWS, Kubernetes).

• Hands-on experience with Docker.

• JWT-knowledge (Auth0, OAuth2).
