Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with New Brunswick Child Care Standards, YMCA curriculum, and Child Protection policies.
  • Plan and implement child-centered summer camp programs according to YMCA and provincial standards.
  • Oversee camp staff, conduct site checks, and manage documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Build relationships with children and families, adapting to their specific needs.
  • Provide direct supervision and performance management for the summer camp staff team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in childcare, summer camp, or youth programs.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Team player with feedback orientation.
  • Leadership or staff management experience is an asset.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Employment contingent on a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and a cleared Social Development Check.
  • Current or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR.
