Head of Finance
The Head of Finance will be responsible for the overall financial strategy, planning, and management of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will lead the finance, accounting, and compliance functions, and play a key role in strategic decision-making.
NOTE: This role is based on Vancouver Island and would require relocation to be on site (support available for relocation).
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
• Develop financial strategies aligned with business goals and marine industry trends.
• Manage financial risk, treasury, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency and profitability.
• Other as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, ideally in distribution, operations and/or construction / project based sectors.
• Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies for business stainability and growth.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Contract accounting, working capital management, and bank/compliance reporting experience.
