The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our company's financial reporting processes. This role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, assisting with audits, and providing analytical support to improve financial performance. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting & Compliance: Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Assisting in the consolidation of financial data for corporate reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

General Ledger & Reconciliation: Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations. Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures and investigating and resolving discrepancies in financial records.

Audit & Tax Support: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Supporting tax preparation and filings by ensuring accurate financial data.

Financial Analysis & Process Improvement: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, and recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with AP/AR, payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate financial transactions, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred). At least 3 years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of GAAP/IFRS. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting. Knowledge of SOX compliance. Public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) experience.
