The Opportunity:

As the Product Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our long-term innovation agenda, uncovering consumer opportunities, and driving breakthrough ideas forward—from insight to launch. You'll lead the product innovation roadmap, ensuring strong alignment to category strategy and business goals. In this cross-functional role, you'll partner with Category Management, Culinary, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to champion innovation that's desirable, feasible, and viable for our business. From early-stage idea generation to commercialization, you'll manage the full product development lifecycle—ensuring each new product delivers on brand standards, quality, and value. - Own the Innovation Pipeline:
- Define and maintain a robust 2-year pipeline of new product concepts rooted in consumer insight, food trends, and whitespace opportunities- aligned to category strategy and long-term brand growth plans.
- Front-End Innovation Leadership:
- Lead the front-end innovation process using our Stage Gate model. Own initiatives from ideation to concept validation, guiding cross-functional teams through key milestones.
- Product Lifecycle & Roadmap Management:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle- from ideation and development through launch, growth, and eventual delisting. Prioritize product features, platforms, and enhancements based on consumer value, business impact, and technical feasibility. Monitor in-market performance, optimize the assortment, and continually reprioritize the roadmap to focus on the highest-value opportunities.
- Insight-Driven Strategy:
- Identify consumer problems worth solving. Translate macro trends, competitive intel, and consumer insights into differentiated innovation platforms and product concepts.
- Trend & Competitive Monitoring:
- Stay on the pulse of emerging trends, category dynamics, and new product launches to identify growth opportunities and build a sustainable innovation pipeline.
- Quality & Cost Optimization:
- Collaborate with Product Development, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance to balance innovation goals with quality, cost, and pricing targets. Support business continuity and Cost Savings Initiatives as needed.
- Project Management & Commercialization:
- Drive project timelines, ensuring successful execution across functions. Oversee the launch process, meeting brand, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Positioning & Storytelling:
- Define product positioning, value proposition, and packaging direction in partnership with Brand Marketing to ensure consumer relevance and brand alignment. Bring innovation to life across the organization by translating insights into compelling narratives that build excitement, communicate strategic rationale, and align cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- This role requires regular sensory evaluation of a wide range of food products, which will include eating items containing meat, dairy, wheat, gluten, sugar, and other common allergens or dietary components.
Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product innovation, brand management, or category marketing—preferably in food, CPG, or retail.
- Demonstrated success in developing and commercializing new products from ideation through launch.
- Passion for food is essential; experience working with culinary teams or in food development is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Stage Gate or project management tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to build clear, inspiring, and insight-driven cases for innovation.
- Experience collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, and QA to balance innovation with operational and financial feasibility.
- A strategic marketer and product thinker with a proven track record of launching consumer-led innovation.
- Passionate about food and constantly curious about evolving tastes, culinary trends, and eating habits.
- Skilled at connecting dots between insights, trends, and business strategy.
- A collaborative influencer who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
- Insight-driven and analytically sharp—able to turn research and data into opportunity and action.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple timelines.
