OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The Clinical Supervisor, Autism Services – Urgent Response Services provides oversight to a team who work directly with families, children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in the provision of parent training and stabilization based services. The Clinical Supervisor will provide supervision and oversee ABA based service for children and youth registered in the Urgent Response Service to improve child and family quality of life and prepare for successful participation in community programs. Services take place at the center, client's home or other community settings on a one-to-one basis. The Urgent Response Services (URS) is an exciting new service offered within the OAP. They are time-limited services developed to provide a rapid response to specific, identified needs to prevent further escalation or risk of harm to the child or youth, other people or property. RESPONSIBILITIES Identify, develop and supervise the implementation of evidence based behavioural programming in line with the client and family's individualized goals. * Conduct a functional behavior assessment that follows a bio-psycho-social model of treatment and intervention to establish individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families. * Design evidence based interventions that are in line with the Behaviour Plan and ensure ethical practices are followed. * Responsible for ongoing program evaluation and modifications as needed to behavior plans and protocols including signing off on plans and OAP (forms). * Liaise with multidisciplinary teams in joint service planning and review. * Use Behaviour Skills Training Model to train the clinical team to implement the intervention with high fidelity and accuracy. * Coach clinical team and supervises the delivery of ABA services and supports clients and families. * Provide direct service to clients as necessary. * Be available to provide ongoing supervision to students pursuing their education requirements (masters, undergraduate and college programs). * Provide training and information for families in the form of mediator model training, parent coaching and education sessions. * Thoroughly document and create Behaviour Plans, Functional Analysis summaries, BehaviourReduction Programs and Behavior Acquisition Programs. Supervise a clinical team to ensure adherence to service standards and organizational policies. * Recruit, hire, and orient staff; assign, review and evaluate work; review and revise job descriptions. * Ensure qualifications, technical skills and knowledge are maintained to meet the job requirements. * Ensure adherence to professional standards of service consistent with legislative requirements, directives and expectations of funders, and organizational policies, procedures and practices. * Build effective teams that demonstrate commitment to organizational values, continuous learning, quality improvement and adaptation to change. * Administer the Collective Agreement and consult with the Director of Autism Services and HR for human resource issues including recommendations for accommodations and any formal disciplinary action. * Approve time sheets, authorize vacation requests and monitor attendance records on a regular basis. * Communicate organizational and program goals to their team and ensure individual goals are tied to the achievement of broader objectives. * Organize the work of the team to meet goals and objectives. * Monitor completion of work providing constructive feedback and coaching to staff. * Resolve employee issues through appropriate policies and conflict resolution skills conducting investigations where appropriate. Maintain administrative order to ensure the successful operation of the clinical team and clinical caseload. * Prepare and submit relevant service statistics for the purposes of Ministry reporting. * Correspond with the Autism Services Intake department to inform next recommendations. * Uphold financial expenditures within established parameters. * Review and submit Serious Occurrence and Incident Reports to ensure staff and client safety. * See that program support staff are providing effective administrative support for the operation of the clinical team. * Provide on call support for organization wide services outside of regular work hours (which may include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights). * Supervise adherence to organizational policies, procedures and practices. Supervise and ensure staff and client health and safety is carried out in a safe and productive manner. * Ensure staff comply with the Occupational Health and Safety act. * Inform staff of any actual or potential health and safety hazard known to maintain a healthy and safe working environment. * Ensure staff are adequately trained and have sufficient knowledge and skill to perform their work safely. * Ensure staff have access to proper equipment required to do their job safely. * Provide feedback to staff regarding safe work practices to ensure staff and client safety. * Review and submit a Health & Safety/ Incident Report form for each accident or incident. * Conduct monthly health and safety walk throughout site location(s) with committee representative. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND ACCREDIDATION * Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology or Developmental Disabilities with study or relateddegree and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis. * Certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in good standing. * Registered with College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a regulated health professional (effective July 1, 2024). * Minimum 4 years work experience in developing and/ or delivering Applied Behavioural Analytic services. * Minimum 1 year supervisory experience and understanding of management theories and practices considered as an asset. KNOWLEDGE * Clinical experience and knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) as it applies to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities and may also include other special populations as required. * Thorough understanding of principles, treatment applications and conceptual issues of Applied Behaviour * Analysis and be able to use effective evidence based strategies for the population. * Ability to navigate the organization and interact with staff at all levels. * Knowledge of the mission statement, mandate, objectives, strategic priorities, policies and procedures, standards and organizational structure of various departments. * Leading team of staff to provide high levels of service to clients while building a strong cohesive team. * Knowledge of Behaviour Analytic Certification Board – code of ethics. * Knowledge of College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) Standards of Professional Conduct. * Knowledge of Ontario Autism Program. * Knowledge of the community served. * Proficient computer knowledge and related technology in relation to data management. * Knowledge of human resource management and effective labour relations. * Being Bilingual (English/French, English/second language) is an asset. WORKING CONDITIONS * Hybrid work environment – remote and in person service on a scheduled and as needed basis. * Required to attend at various Strides Toronto, client home and offsite locations for programming, meetings, coverage and to provide supervision. HOURS OF WORK * Schedule based on programming needs, occasionally includes evenings and weekends. * Provides Organizational On-Call support on a rotational schedule. * Extra hours as required.
