Are you service-oriented, community-focused, unflappable behind the wheel, enjoy supporting seniors & kids, and flexible in the time you are available. If this sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
What you would do: Be responsible for safely transporting community members—children, youth, adults, and seniors—to and from schools, programs, and events across the North Shore and Vancouver area. You'd drive to and from outings and events, keep passengers safe,e and help us keep our programs running smoothly and on time.
Specifically, we would be looking for you to:
- Drive safely, get people where they need to go and back again, in a timely and safe manner
- Ensure vehicle logs (pre-trip inspection and mileage) are completed after each trip
- Assist passengers in and out of the bus (children and seniors, in particular), but you're not responsible for their 1:1 care

- Report any maintenance or safety concerns
You're not expected to supervise programs or manage group behavior or deep-clean the vehicle.
We're hoping to meet people who:

- Are comfortable navigating traffic and routes across the North Shore, Vancouver & Lower Mainland.
- Have worked with or in support of community members and understand the importance of connection, reliability, and patience.
- Are great communicators and comfortable with technology i.e. email; when we post driving opportunities (by text or email), you'll let us know quickly if you're available...it's often first come, first serve.
- Are flexible with timing and picking up work; we'll be clear about estimated hours for each shift (minimum of 2 hours), but casual means, it can vary depending on what programs/ events are happening.
Be really great if you could share with us:
- What kind of driving experience do you have? Tell us about the vehicle types you've driven and how what work you have done in the past fits with this role with us.
- If you have worked or volunteered in a community-serving environment before? What does "being in community" mean to you?
- What is your availability and how many hours are you looking for?

- Consent for a Criminal Record Check (CRC) with vulnerable persons.
- 2–3 professional references.

- Hourly wage is $24.48 per hour, plus 6% in lieu of vacation time off.
- Free parking and close to public transit.
