Hourly Rate: $64.66/hour
The Opportunity:
Working in Refinery Maintenance as part of the Rotating Equipment department, the role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and assembly of machinery in the refinery. Responsibilities:
Maintenance, Installation, and Troubleshooting of Electric Motors:- Install, align, and maintain a variety of electric motors.
- Perform motor troubleshooting, including identifying bearing failures, overheating, shaft misalignment, and other mechanical/electrical issues.
- Service and maintain centralized lubrication systems, ensuring proper lubricant application and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot lubrication issues like over-lubrication, contamination, and lubricant starvation.
- Perform routine oil sampling, analysis, and ensure the correct application of lubricants for optimal machine life.
- Install, align, and maintain reciprocating compressors, including valves, pistons, rings, and packing.
- Troubleshoot issues such as knocking, excessive vibration, and low pressure.
- Conduct routine inspections of the crosshead, crankcase, and oil pressure systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and install high-speed rotating equipment, including centrifugal compressors, turbines, pumps, and blowers.
- Perform precision alignment and balancing using laser tools and other diagnostic equipment.
- Monitor vibration, thermal expansion, and wear patterns to prevent breakdowns.
- Access and update computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to log maintenance tasks, work orders, and equipment statuses.
- Generate and close out work orders, ensuring all actions are documented accurately.
- Write and manage detailed work orders, providing clear documentation of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure thorough documentation of corrective actions, parts used, and time spent.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work permits, Field Level Risk Assessment, and hazard communication.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate must hold a Millwright Trade Qualification with IP/Red Seal.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience post apprenticeship completion in an Industrial facility.
- Valid BC Driver's License (Class 5 Minimum).
- Demonstrated Commitment to Injury & Incident Free (IIF), Safety and Loss Prevention.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are an expectation of this position.
