Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Canada.

Position: Security Professional - Gate

Type: Full Time (Temporary) - 3 to 4 Weeks

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Pay Rate: $20 -$21 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and statutory/religious holidays)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage access control and check ID of staff entering the facility, issue correct identificaiton
• Conduct foot and vehiclular patrols
• Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism
• Write detailed narrative reports, maintain daily activity reports
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures and resopnd to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Resolve conflict situations whilst staying calm and collected
• Respond to alarms
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 25 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a VALID, unrestricted, Class 5 driver's licence
• Legally entitled to work full-time in Canada
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Must have a VALID Alberta Security Licence
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol test.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Able to:
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
