Compensation: $49,000–$52,000/year or $24–$25/hour

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our client's team at their Lindsay location. This role plays an important part in supporting daily financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Answer incoming calls and assist customers professionally.
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence.
• Balance daily batch reports for cash, cheque, and credit card transactions.
• Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize the internal business system for data entry and reporting.
• Contribute to budgeting efforts by providing relevant financial data.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to improve financial processes and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Solid understanding of general accounting practices and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
