Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a crew to execute flatwork and wall work projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Coordinate the preparation and pouring of concrete for flat surfaces such as slabs, sidewalks, and driveways, ensuring proper thickness and finish.
  • Supervise the construction and installation of concrete walls, including foundation walls, retaining walls, and decorative walls, ensuring structural integrity.
  • Oversee the layout and forming of concrete structures, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and design plans.
  • Monitor the curing process to guarantee optimal strength and durability of the concrete.
  • Inspect work for compliance with safety and quality standards, addressing any deficiencies immediately.
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques for flatwork and wall work, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other trades and project managers to coordinate tasks and schedules effectively.
  • Complete additional tasks as needed while adhering to our Safety Program.

What We're Looking For:
  • At least 5 years of experience in concrete walls and flat work with some supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and concrete practices and safety regulations.
  • The ability to read blueprints and project specifications with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on motivating teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to tackle on-site challenges effectively.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday with the potential for overtime.
  • Availability for weekend work.

Work Location:Primarily based in the Waterloo Region with some travel across Southern Ontario.
