About the Role: Located in Scarborough, Salex is searching for a dynamic Field Services Technician. Responsible for supporting our clients through on-site system startups, training, documentation and technical support for projects. What you'll do: * Configuration, start-up training and service of lighting control systems. * Delivering Training, conducting prewire meetings and providing technical support * Coordinating with EC and other parties work plans, schedules and permits to access job sites * Completing detailed reports of work executed and obtaining project Sign-off * Documenting and following up Project's open items * Participate of the continues development of the technical department by documenting issues and solution * Identifying areas of opportunity to improve processes, required tools or training needs * Preparation of associated documentation. * Recommend design modifications to achieve intended performance * Recommend service contracts * Adhere to quality standards * Adhere to Health and Safety Policies * Attend product training as required * Keep abreast of industry standards and trends * Support service needs in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Ottawa area. * Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation to support urgent service needs outside regular business hours including nights and weekends. * Other duties as required Qualifications: * Post Secondary Education or equivalent work experience * Diploma or degree in engineering, construction science/management, electronic technology or relevant field is a plus * Hands-on approach * Technically inclined * Experience in providing technical support and training * Able to work independently on construction sites * Customer focused attitude towards service and support * Proficient in Microsoft Office programs * Understanding of lighting control technologies such as 0-10v DALI, ortheatrical DMX * Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring * Ability to read and understand architectural and electrical drawings and schematics. * Bluebeam Review, and basic CAD knowledge * Basic understanding of computer networking * Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks with strong organizational skills. * Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. * Demonstrated commitment to results demonstrating high performance, and challenging self to deliver results * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide a detailed analysis and reporting. * Detail oriented * Must be able work effectively both as a team member and independently. * Ability to work on a flexible work schedule * Must posses a valid G class driver's license with an excellent driving record. * This position will require occasional travel depending on business needs Why Work With Us? * Competitive Salary: We offer a salary package that reflects your skills and experience, ensuring you feel valued and rewarded. * Amazing Benefits: From comprehensive healthcare plans to generous retirement savings, we provide benefits that support your well-being and future. * Inspiring Culture: Join a workplace where collaboration, creativity, and growth are encouraged.
