Who we need
Reporting to the Executive Director, PMO, Vendor Management and Operations, we are hiring a Senior Project Manager, Technology to lead the end-to-end execution of strategic, high-impact technology projects. You will help translate business needs into actionable plans, align cross-functional and vendor teams, and drive measurable outcomes across marketing, digital experience, infrastructure, and operations. Whether it's launching a new member experience, strengthening cybersecurity, or optimizing call centre performance, you will be a central player during a period of transformational growth at Scene+.
This is a hybrid role, working 5 days over a 2-week period in the office.
What's in it for you:
Ownership and influence. We are a data-driven organization with a rapidly growing member base of millions across Canada. You will lead technical solutions that impact the company on a national level, influence critical decisions, and drive the implementation of best-in-class cloud, contact centre, security, or marketing technologies across Azure and SaaS platforms.
Visibility and growth. You will report directly to senior leadership and present project updates to executive stakeholders, including the C-suite. As a trusted advisor, you will help shape roadmaps and deliver technical solutions in your area of focus, acting as a champion for ongoing investment in your projects. This is a genuinely exciting growth opportunity and a direct pathway to a program management role.
As our new Senior Project Manager, Technology, you will:
- Manage the project lifecycle. You will lead end-to-end execution of projects in your assigned focus area, which may be contact centre systems, cloud security enhancements, or digital marketing tools. You will build and manage integrated project plans that align internal teams, external vendors, testing groups, and stakeholders. You will effectively navigate the complexity of our fast-paced environment and apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies across internal and vendor teams. You will adhere to the PMO's best practices for planning, documenting, issue tracking, stakeholder engagement, and integrated reporting.
- Build and manage business cases. You will lead the development and tracking of business cases tied to project outcomes, whether that's member growth, operational efficiency, cost savings, or improved partner performance. You will collaborate with Finance to track budgets, forecasts, and actuals, validate vendor pricing, and support contract negotiations, as well as monitor project ROI tracking against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate with clarity. You will anticipate and respond to risks, escalate transparently, and propose solutions and adjustments. You will confidently present weekly updates to executives, ensuring they have the necessary insight to make informed strategic decisions.
- Own the solution. You will be accountable for maintaining, optimizing, and updating the solutions you implement. You will champion ongoing or periodic updates and demonstrate a return on investment (ROI).
You bring:
- The project management expertise. You have demonstrated success in delivering complex, cross-functional technology projects from start to finish. This includes SaaS and cloud implementations, and IPaaS projects. You have excellent organizational skills in a demanding, multi-system, multi-service provider environment. You have experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery models and can effectively guide teams and vendors in each approach. You have managed projects involving Azure, SaaS marketing tools, or security solutions. You can translate technical requirements into business outcomes. You know how to work with Finance to manage project budgets and portfolios. You know how to build, track, and report against business cases. You have experience managing and driving value from vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and validating pricing models. PMP and/or Agile/Scrum certifications are preferred, but practical, proven experience is essential.
- The accountability. You take initiative, communicate risk early, and work with integrity and clarity. You have a proven track record of establishing strong business relationships and delivering value to the business, operating successfully in a matrixed environment. You are exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, always keeping a clear focus on deliverables, deadlines, and broader strategic objectives. You have an analytical approach to problem-solving, task, and time management.
- The interpersonal skills. You can build trust and partnerships with internal and external teams, from engineers to executives, and influence without authority. You have highly effective professional written and verbal communication skills. You can explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience, demonstrating business value and impact. You have the confidence to present recommendations and navigate the complexities of multiple owner and partner relationships. You possess a collaborative mindset, enabling you to manage various stakeholders with competing priorities, hear their perspectives, address their concerns, resolve conflict, remove roadblocks, and encourage high-quality results.
