ABOUT HELCIM

Helcim was founded with a mission at heart: to be the worlds most loved payment system. We believe that by offering small businesses in North America a decidedly human payment solution where it is easier to sign up and use while being transparent and affordable, we can empower them to grow and prosper. Simply put, helping small businesses thrive is at the very core of our business model, and we think thats a great way to do business.

From the very start, we knew that we wanted to be different from every payment processor out there. We want the merchants we serve to feel supported and see us as a trusted partner rather than simply just another cost of doing business. We are relentless in our pursuit to provide a radically transparent and honest payments solution that flat out saves business owners money, all while treating them like human beings.

THE POSITION

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Helcim, you'll play a crucial role in our outbound sales strategy. Your focus will be on generating qualified leads through personalized outreach to target merchants, primarily in our top-quartile ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) segments. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that's revolutionizing the payments industry with a human-centered approach.

Here are the things youll own day to day:

  • Outbound Prospecting: Generate new leads through cold calling, personalized email outreach, and social selling targeting high-value merchants in specific geographic areas.
  • Personalization: Add a human touch, ensuring outreach is relevant and compelling to potential merchants.
  • Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify potential customers based on our ICP criteria and lead scoring model.
  • Sales Sequence Management: Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (phone, email, social) coordinated with our broader ABM strategy.
  • Local Market Focus: Concentrate efforts on merchants within specific city campaigns, leveraging local social proof and partnerships.
  • Pipeline Generation: Convert cold prospects into qualified opportunities.
  • Social Proof Leveraging: Utilize testimonials from local merchants and ecosystem partners in outreach efforts.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all prospecting activities and merchant interactions in our CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the partnership and marketing team to ensure alignment with city-specific campaign initiatives.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide insights on market responses to help improve targeting, messaging, and conversion rates.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Sales Experience: Prior experience in B2B sales, outbound calling, or lead generation is highly beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to engage business owners in meaningful conversations.
  • Resilience: Ability to maintain positivity and persistence in a high-volume outbound environment.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable learning and using CRM systems, sales automation tools, and communication platforms.
  • Prospecting Skills: Ability to effectively research prospects and personalize outreach.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance metrics and targets.
  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of or willingness to learn about the business landscape in target cities.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust approach based on feedback and campaign performance data

Diversity brings more experience, view-points, knowledge and insight about our future. We also want to provide an accessible interview process, so if theres any accommodations that would make your experience more comfortable, please let us know.

KEY COMPETENCIES

HELCIM CULTURE IS;

Being builders: We build things ourselves and we build them well. We use technology and our creativity to overcome challenges that would seem beyond the capability of a company our size. We improve what is already there, invent our way out of problems and we never stop dreaming of better.

Choosing the harder path: We believe that the right decisions are usually the harder ones, so we embrace the challenge and endure when others quit. We choose what is difficult because it is more rewarding in the long-term, and makes us resilient, so that we not only survive but thrive.

Creating trust: We earn trust by striving to be our best selves every day and by lifting those around us. We recognize that trust is hard to earn, easy to lose and is tested continuously over time, so we make trust our way of life.

Contributing to a company of many: We are stronger because of our collective passion, diversity, and fellowship. We believe only great teams can accomplish great things, and we ask the very best of each other. Together we create our own future.
