THE POSITION – MECHANICAL LEAD

product innovation and manufacturing. The Mechanical Lead will be an integral part of these efforts to bring forward Heat Management as an industry.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

In close collaboration with the Director of Engineering, the Mechanical Lead looks after all Mechanical Engineering services related activities at MSCP. The primary goal of this position is to provide innovative Mechanical Engineering solutions to propel real world applications in all company activities ranging from Manufacturing to Design Engineering to Field Services.

An outline of these responsibilities is given below:

· Project Leadership: Lead and manage significant external and internal engineering projects to successful outcomes.

· Innovation: Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

· Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

· Decision-Making: Exercise substantial decision-making authority and influence over project directions.

· Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation and reports, providing insights and recommendations.

· Quality Control: Oversee the quality and turnover processes of engineering work, ensuring adherence to standards.

· Customer Service: Provide superior customer service, addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.

· Proposals and Estimates: Assist in the creation of proposals and estimates for engineering projects.

· Positive Culture: Help promote the company methodology and vision.

6 ROLE REQUIREMENTS

The Engineering Lead will have the following education and experience:

· 10+ years of engineering experience.

· Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Naval Engineering.

· A passion for work in a growth environment with a challenging set of projects.

· Must prefer working in a non-hierarchical environment with ample autonomy.

· Open to receiving and providing feedback from and to many stakeholders across the organization, including field services and shop manufacturing.

· A hands-on attitude to the accomplishment of different company goals that may extend the traditional limits of engineering work.

· Experience in management of small to medium size projects ($50k to $2M). would be appreciated

· Skilled in Manufacturing applications. Experience in developing production lines or in working on complex projects.

· Mechanical Design: Proficiency in mechanical design and development, including CAD, CAE, and CAM technologies.

· Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science.

· Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.

· Excellent Interpersonal and Leadership Skills, as the position will receive input from many different stakeholders.

· Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical knowledge clearly and effectively.

· Some exposure to system-based Management approaches like Theory of Constraints.

Compensation

85,000-110,000 per Year
